Graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a multidisciplinary focus in Illustration, Design, and Animation. Experienced in web development and design for a multitude of needs, ranging from single pages, to large promotional sites. Print experience includes posters, pamphlets, and other media display. Primarily a Macintosh user, but proficient with Windows and UNIX Operating Systems. Highly skilled with the Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and QuarkXpress applications.

Fluent with the front–end web development technologies HTML, XHTML, and CSS. Ability to hand code table–less, cross–browser compatible sites. Moderate knowledge of JavaScript, PHP, and Python. Has experience deploying sites under a variety of CMSs and web servers. Motivated team and solo worker who performs well under deadlines. Extremely organized, highly motivated, and adaptive for learning and taking on new projects or skills.

Recent Work

  • LEC Limited April 2008 – June 2008 On site contractor. Responsibilities included developing standards compliant XHTML and CSS (screen and print) for a handful of projects. Some projects utilized custom JavaScript or the Prototype/ Script.aculo.us framework for animation and interactivity. Worked on sites being deployed on Microsoft Sharepoint Server or ASP.NET. Clients included Dwyer Kitchens, Healing Waters, FTI Consulting, GE, Aspect Software, and Initiate Systems.
  • Thirdwave, LLC February 2008 – April 2008 On site contractor. Worked on a variety of projects utilizing XHTML, ASP.NET, Dreamweaver, CSS, JavaScript, and local development servers. Responsibilities included converting sites from tabled to table–less layouts in cross–browser compatible XHTML and CSS. Developed and documented a new template for AIGA local chapters. Handled maintenance and work load on other projects for clients such as Carlson GMAC, the National Stock Exchange, and the Joyce Foundation.
  • Grey Matter Collective April 2008 – May 2008 Small off-site contract. Developed the Tour De Solo site in cross–browser compatible XHTML and CSS. Site developed for internal use at the Solo Cup Company.
  • Sender LLC February 2008 – March 2008 On site contractor. Worked in close proximity with a fantastic team of talented designers and developers. Worked on a promotional site for the combined efforts of Apartments.com, FreeCreditReport.com, and CareerBuilder. Site utilized a variety of advanced XHTML and CSS tricks incorporating work from Flash and PHP developers. Also worked on template based e–mail newsletters and layout for the Just Great Tickets site.
